Focus on Youth is empowering at-risk culturally and ethnically diverse teens by putting cameras in their hands and providing them with volunteer mentors.
Photographers from The American Society of Media Photographers and The Portland Metropolitan Photographers’ Association serve as volunteer mentors. Through one-on-one mentoring with professional photographers, at-risk youth learn the art of photography and darkroom skills while creating images to share through public exhibitions.
